The world's population continues to grow, and with it a reliance on non-renewable energy. The unrelenting demand for fossil fuels must be addressed, and the opportunity to exploit cleaner resources explored. Without such actions, the world risks creating an ever more unstable economy, and risks further damage to the environment.

The footprint society makes on the environment has become a hotly debated topic. The engines of economy and the pursuit of natural resources has likely had a vast impact on the natural balances on this planet. Sustainable ways to achieve growth without sacrificing the environment will be needed moving forward.

Market forces continue to dictate the allocation of resources in many of the world's most important economic centers. These forces will be critical in determining the energy sources of the future and how the world's populations impact the environment. A sustainable future hinges on the discovery of a balance between the three "E's," an idea central to ISEEESA, its mission, and endeavors.
